'The Cookie Law' has been in effect across the EU since May 2012.

Meaning, as a website owner, not only should you 'understand', but 'address' your new obligations towards your web visitors.

The law amended privacy legislation that would likely require your site to obtain 'informed consent' from your web visitor, in able to store/retrieve any information on your visitors device (be it a computer. mobile or any other web connected device).
